Book two is almost done!

It has been a while since the last Mysteries of Whisper Bay update, but I've been busy working on the second book in the series!

The first form of the book is a draft version, which means it's a little bit rough around the edges, and I have to go through it to make sure the story works and makes sense. Characters should behave as their personalities would have them behave. Dates and facts have to line up to make sense. And any gaps have to be filled. Plus, I have to do the hardest thing: cut out material.

In the first writing of a book, everything that comes to mind gets written down. That makes for a big draft! Then, I go through it and rearrange and remove things that aren't necessary and that slow the story down or get in the way of the story. Sometimes that's hard to do, because they are parts I liked writing. It's hard to get rid of words and paragraphs you liked.
