Grandma's Monster Cookies
No joke, this is my grandma's monster cookie recipe. And it's actually a monster of a recipe, with measurements of 12 cups at a time. The first time we made this as kids, we realized our mistake and had our first foray into understanding that yes, it is important to grasp fractions and math in real life.
It's such a good recipe that the patisserie I used to work at as a pastry chef asked if they could use it. If you like peanut butter, chewy goodness, and all the other great stuff monster cookies have, this is your treat.
CONTENTS: Four cookies
Ingredients
Peanut butter, oatmeal, sugar, eggs, chocolate chips (may contain soy lecithin, cocoa, milk fats), colored chocolate candies, butter, baking soda, vanilla flavoring, syrup, salt.
Storage
As with any homemade baked goods that have no preservatives, these are best enjoyed as soon as possible after they are made, within 2-3 days of pickup. They can also be frozen if you don't intend to eat them within that window. Read more tips about storing baked goods here.

Baking Instructions
Frozen cookie dough will be four balls of dough in a plastic bag. You can bake the cookies as is, or reshape the dough to smaller cookies if you prefer. If you've purchased frozen cookie dough (which should be put in your freezer at home as soon as possible), here are your instructions:
- Set the cookies on an ungreased or parchment-lined cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
- Bake at 375°F for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the interior appears slightly undercooked.
- Let cookies sit on the cookie sheet for several minutes to continue baking on the sheet before removing to a cooling rack to finish cooling.
Ideally, thaw the cookies for 24 hours in the refrigerator before baking. If you don't have time to do that, you can set them on the cookie sheet during the time it takes your oven to preheat. You may want to press down on them slightly so they are flatter and bake more evenly from their frozen state. Sometimes frozen dough doesn't spread out as evenly as room temperature or lightly chilled dough.
