Blinded by the dance idiom.

written by Julie R. Neidlinger      0 comments      link this post

I can't say that I understand any more about protein synthesis after watching the following video, but I'm pretty sure I'll never look at dancing the same ever again. And, admittedly, I'm a bit miffed about the abuse of a fine poem.

Just pay attention to the guy singing in the background, bellering out things like "tRNA" and "peptide bonds." This was clearly his big moment. Scat singing for science. Towards the end, I'd swear he was barking.

Unbelievably bad.

Achmed the Dead Terrorist.

I've been joking around with some friends using the "Silence! I kill you!" comeback from Jeff Dunham's Achmed routine -- it's completely inappropriate unless a person knows what you're joking about. So, in case I ever say that to you...here's the video. It gets a little crude at times. But here you go:

Thanks to Graeme (via Facebook), I have a new awareness of the power of yogurt for women. This video is great:

The Red Green Show.

written by Julie R. Neidlinger      1 comments      link this post

The Red Green Show used to leave me sick with laughter. I used to watch it almost religiously. As it is, I haven't seen it for a few years.

Michael sent a clip of one of the many "pimp my ride" redneck specialties that appeared so often on the Red Green show. It got me to wanting to see the show again. This is the clip he sent:

The "all wheel drive" segment made me laugh as well, particularly with the repeated use of the word "unit" and all the duct tape.

And of course, there's Harold and the rest of the gang. Check them out in "Red's Hot Sauce."

Head on over to YouTube and take your pick of Red Green clips.

Remember: If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

William Tell and moms.

written by Julie R. Neidlinger      1 comments      link this post

Michael and Colleen sent me a link to this video. Michael included the following:

This is what your mom had to do with all you kids everyday when you were growing up....no wonder she's a saint.

Well.

I have a theory about what it says about a person when they refer to the William Tell Overture as "the Lone Ranger song" and Michael's email had a subject line of "The Lone Ranger."

Ahem.

The funniest thing about the painful video below (besides the last clip in which vigilante justice involves beating and tossing) are the sounds the people running the camera make. Generally, it goes something like this: "Oh!"

A friend sent me a link to this video and, though I'm not sure why, I can't stop laughing my head off.

I think it starts right about the moment the policeman walks onto the camera and the theme from "Cops" starts playing.

Ha ha ha.
