Confetti Scarf
written by Julie R. Neidlinger 0 comments link this postA delicate eyelash scarf with bits of colored confetti-like material fragments sprinkled throughout, this scarf is playful and fun. It is very long, and works well for multiple wraps around the neck, or as a free-flowing narrow "tie" under jackets or over simple tops. It also looks nice looped around the neck and then loosely tied in front. Skinny scarves are popular now!
Fluctuations in the scarf are a natural part of the handmade process, and are heightened by the playful yarn.
I have to confess, I love this scarf. It'll be hard to get rid of. The yarn is unbelievably soft and silky and it's a real attention-getter.
Materials: Acrylic mix
Size: 100" x 3.5"
Other: Handwash only, lay flat to dry.
Price: SOLD

Goldstone Scarf
written by Julie R. Neidlinger 0 comments link this post
This scarf is done in what's called the stockinette stitch, meaning there is a "front" and "back" to it. It also means it has a tendency to curl towards the back, giving this scarf a cord-like look to it, making it easy to tie around the neck.
The nubby texture is soft against your neck, flecked with ochre and gray and almost-black threads.
Materials: Acrylic and wool
Size: 68" x 3"
Other: Gentle wash, no machine dry.
Price: $15
Labels: budget, knits, scarf, winter

Gold Halo Scarf
written by Julie R. Neidlinger 0 comments link this post
This scarf looks like a strand of high-grade Christmas tinsel. Rest assured, it's a finely knitted neck scarf.
The yarn in this scarf contains high shine gold threads along with iridescent threads that glisten purple with the right angle of light. It's really quite beautiful to see up close and personal.
This is a short scarf, meant as a decorative accessory to a holiday or other outfit in need of a little something unusual.
Materials: Nylon
Size: 48" x 32"
Other: Hand wash only, lay flat to dry.
Price: $20

Earthtoned Scarf
written by Julie R. Neidlinger 0 comments link this post
Made of yarn with varigated earthtones, this scarf measures to be wider than 5" when stretched out due to the ribbing stitch used. What this means is that it feels double-thick against your neck, very comfortable and warm.
I used needles that were on the smaller side, so there are many, many stitches in this one scarf, making it even warmer.
It works well as a beautiful yet functional cold weather scarf.
Materials: Acrylic and wool mix yarn
Size: 76" x 5"
Other: Handwash, no machine dry
Price: $25
