Get out of jail.

For the criminal and not-so-criminal element...get your own "Get Out of Jail Free" card.

You can win one of these hastily drawn, hastily printed, sloppily plastic-laminated, crookedly hand-cut wonders of the art world...free of charge!

All you gotta do is email me a paragraph on why you want to get out of jail (or why you don't).

I like creative and witty stuff, so be creative and witty.

Each card comes signed by me on the back with a marker and some other random message that comes to mind when it comes time to sign the card. This is a true treasure and valuable item to own in an era of coming recession and rising gold prices.

So:
  1. Write a paragraph.
  2. Email it to me.
  3. Wait anxiously.

Easy.

Giveaway: Lone Prairie pencils.

A casual mention of pencils in a blog post revealed a fair number of readers interested in a pencil.

And why not.

Who wouldn't want a pencil?

I noticed, however, that some were so interested they wanted more than one.

Um.

I can't, as much as I want, hand out more than one per reader. I have 13 pencils available (made one at a time! and it takes time! this is not mass production!), with two sayings:
I used Comic Sans as a font because I just thought that fitting somehow. The pencils are from Office Max with soft white erasers and light-colored unfinished wood barrels. They be fine-lookin' pencils.

So...if you want a free limited edition Lone Prairie pencil...JUMP THROUGH THESE HOOPS!
  1. Send me an email with the subject line of "Pencil Giveaway".
  2. Include the address you want me to mail the pencil to. I won't use your address for nefarious purposes.
  3. Tell me which pencil you prefer. I'm going to dole them out on a first-come-first-serve basis, so if your choice is gone, you get the other one.
  4. Include a humorous joke in your email, and I'll throw something extra in your package.
  5. Act quickly. I don't have many pencils.

The pencils are free. You don't have to pay for postage. It's a real giveaway1. It really is. I'm happy to do it. They look fabulous.

UPDATE: The pencils are now all gone....
