Slasher.

"...seeker sensitive/mega/emerging/emergent/ culturally relevant churches have joined the tbn/charismania crowd in the cult of celebrity."
Sometimes, I guess, there just aren't enough slashes. (Modified Gump)
I'm only kind of joking in that comment. What kind of discussion or argument tries to prove a point by throwing together opposing ideas with a series of forward slashes, making it appear as if it were possible to have a small hibachi up and cookin' in a helium-filled blimp without any problems? Seeker/mega don't jive with emerging culture. No seeker sensitive church is going to pull in the "sensitive seekers" with oft-frightening charismatic behavior, either. Don't even get me started on trying to say that "culturally relevant" can co-exist with Jan Crouch, her hair, and TBN.
What a bizarre effort to try and list every possible thing -- except, oh, say:
women-stifling-baptist/mormon/wiccan/calvinist/arminian/stodgy/hymns only!/the pews must be wooden and hurt!/skirt-wearing/starched collar-insisting/reformed/not reformed/church of just two members/dour-faced/legalist/phelps-ian church.
Please.
Some effort would be nice, particularly for a web site with the name "research" in the title.
