The Write Book.
written by Julie R. Neidlinger 0 comments link this postI was in Barnes and Noble recently with a friend, who pointed out the book The Write Brain Workbook: 366 Exercises to Liberate Your Writing. His comment was that the interior was, basically, out of control.
I agree.
It looks like too many graphic designers also spoil the soup. I mean, colors and fonts and concepts -- a new one for every page! All the clip art ever created seems to have been used. That's a lot for a person like me who prefers subdued less-is-more existence.
Nevertheless, after tonight's flying lesson I headed to Barnes and Noble. (I often go there after a lesson since the books have a calming effect on me, which may seem odd, and not calming, to you). I was pulled right to that book.
I am going to subdue this book, I though as I pulled it off the shelf. I will force it into submission.
The book is made so that you can write in it; it is, after all, a workbook. I know in the past I would not have written in it, but lately, I've had the desire to mark things up. And I decided I would mark the dickens out of that book. Writing. Scribbling. That book was going to regret me.
I'll let you know how it goes. There are some decent writing prompts in it.
