Neat hobby.
written by Julie R. Neidlinger 4 comments link this postSo Tom Cruise's 13-year-old son Connor is taking flying lessons.
More than anything, I'm annoyed that:
- I know this.
- That I had to shuffle through websites named things like "celebrity babies" and "tomkat crazy!" to find this out.
- I'm even annoyed.
When I was 13, I was busy slamming doors and being angry with my mother. Late bloomer, I guess.
Someone left a comment on one of the web sites I visited, saying that flying was sure a "neat hobby."
For some reason, I wanted to hit this person. I don't know why.

If it's a hobby, it's an expensive one, even without owning the plane.

When I was young boy my friend Wade took out his dad's plane when he wasn't home and we buzzed the coulees looking for a lynx or cougar we thought we had heard. He sure caught hell when his dad found out! We must have been 14 or 15 years old. Wade had already flown solo a year or two before that but I don't think his dad was too excited about him giving rides. Are you going to sell airplane rides?

Dear Julie,
You seem to be manifesting a great deal of anger in some of your recent posts, and a prevalent desire to hit people. I realize that you have an artistic license to perhaps exaggerate these things in order to write highly creative and enjoyable posts (which they all have been - please don't hit me), but I must say they have highlighted a whole 'nother aspect of your personality for me.
Given these recent tendencies, I am personally glad to be several hundred miles away while writing this comment :)
Again, please don't hit me. When it comes to violence, I am quite the wimp.

I am only attempting to get the private license, not the commercial one, so no. I won't be selling rides.
