Aussie boots.
written by Julie R. Neidlinger 4 comments link this postI'm gettin' me some Aussie boots.
I've wanted a pair for years. Blundstones. Everyone had them down in Australia. I thought they were so cool. I never got around to buying a pair, though, and so I took to nagging my brother about once a year.
"I want some boots."
"Get me some boots."
"Hey, how about some boots."
At long last...Australian-looking boots shall be mine! Rossi boots, maybe.
My sister-in-law emailed me instructions on finding my foot size:
How to measure your feet
- Place a piece of blank white paper on a hard floor.
- Stand on the paper wearing a sock of medium thickness.
- Holding a pencil vertically, place a mark at the end of your heel.
- Place another mark at the tip of your longest toe.
- Mark the sides of your foot at the widest part.
- Measure your other foot using the same method.
- To find your size, measure the heel-to-toe mark in centimeters. For example, if you are a man and your foot measures 28 cm long, you will wear a size USA 10, UK 9, EUR 44, CM 28 shoe.
I replied back:
25.5 cm!!! (10 in.)

I bought a pair once. From Zappos maybe? Didn't fit right rubbed my ankle. I wish you better luck. Returned 'em.

Always a pleasure hearing from you, Sarah.
Ha ha ha.
Even if they don't fit, I won't admit it. You know me.

Well, well, well...wouldn't someone be offended if she knew how you were acting over a stupid pair of boots half way around the world when she had been degraded for her theoretical "nagging" behavior involving a very important, body-covering t-shirt required for a very important, body-humiliating 5K?

I just discovered you have an Australian section! That is just awesome.
And your brother lives in Wodonga/Wangaratta. Small world. I grew up in Albury. Grandparents still live not far from Wang.
Honest confession, though. I don't own a pair of Blundys. They're not even made in Australia anymore. Redbacks are the way to go.
