Having words.

I got an email today, brief and succinct as always, from a friend. Completely off the topic at hand, completely out of the blue, she closed with this:
"Whoever it is that broke your heart this year...if I ever meet him, we're going to have words."
I have friends that listen kindly. I have friends that listen and then calmly help me dissect a troublesome situation and help me to see all sides and get me to see that yes, the other person is human. And, as always, I see my own fault in the matter. And, as is my flawed nature, I start to see it as mainly my fault. Then as all my fault. Really, reasonable conversation tends to leave me in the guilts within about a two-hour time span. This end result is not the fault of my excellent friends that I just previously described. It's my fault.
(Sigh. There I go again...)
I just loved today's email. I just appreciate the blunt rawness of it. No Julie-guilt. No considering all sides of the story. No rational attempt to make sure I stay logical and on-track and down to earth. Just a girlfriend, having my back.
(Many, many, many thanks, KB.)
