No money changers here.
written by Julie R. Neidlinger 9 comments link this postI am unnerved by large churches with actual coffee houses in them, places that take money so that you can buy a beverage before church or in between services.
This is not a discussion on that practice.
This is a free download opportunity for people who attend churches like mine (which is very, very small) who put out a pot of coffee and a pot of hot water and make hot chocolate and tea available before Sunday School.
This is the sign I printed and folded so that it would stand upright on the counter next to the coffee, powdered mixes, napkins, paper cups, and spoons: Nobucks: Free coffee, cocoa. (PDF)
UPDATE: Per the request in the comments section: Nobucks: Free coffee, tea. (PDF)

Brilliant. (And, dare I say, stylish.)

So cute! Could you make an alternate version that says "Free Coffee & Tea?"
(Because no good deed goes unpunished without a demand for additional effort.)

Beautiful!
You are so creative.
:) (<--just for you).
You know some churches now have ATM machines you can use to give your offerings. I look forward to the day when people can to whip out my PDA to wire money.

I love it. Does anyone realize that we are slowly becoming a more secular progressive society? Starbucks at Church, ATM machines. This is very sad.

Do you mind if I "steal" your idea? We just have free coffee, no cocoa--if it's OK with you, I'm going to make a slight modification to your sign.
Also, did you have anyone pose for the header artwork (angels and santa)? I think I know that third angel!

Steal and modify away. That's what I made them for.
The angels and the santa were modeled after me and my many, uh, "moods."
All my cartoon characters have some aspect of myself in them. Bizarre? I don't know. I'm around myself the most...
