Godzilla can't compare.

Horrible, horrible women.
Horrible.
Absolutely horrible.
One woman just screamed at her almost-husband telling him he'd better not make her angry because he'd be stuck with her for the rest of his life.1
Horrible, horrible women. I can't hardly believe it.
Why would anyone marry such women? Aren't they a little ashamed?
I am all astonishment.2
1 She used much less refined terms in doing so.
2 And what fine source did I locate that quote from?

``Miss Elizabeth Bennet!'' repeated Miss Bingley. ``I am all astonishment. How long has she been such a favourite? -- and pray when am I to wish you joy?''
Why it must be from your favorite and mine: Pride and Prejudice.

I forgot to say that I can't believe your were watching the "We" network, let alone that particular show. Where is your loyalty to the only bad cable network worthy of viewing . . . SciFi.
"Faithfulness he talked of, madam. Your enduring faithfulness. Now, tell me truly. When you found out the SciFi Movie of the Week" had eneded, did you change the channel that same hour, or did you wait a whole 12 hours out of respect for the dead?"

I'm always stunned when I watch that show (I don't watch much...it's like a trainwreck though and once I start watching I find it hard to look away.) Then again, I have the same thoughts about most "reality" type shows...if they're behaving like that on camera, what on earth must they be like when it really is reality?
What really makes me angry though is that I have several amazing friends who are single who all deserve to get married more than any one of those "ladies". Where's the justice? (Although, my friends deserve men, and most of the guys getting married to the 'zilla chicks hardly qualify for that title either - so maybe it is just after all.)

I agree. How these brides can be so mean and expect so much from so many is hard to grasp even for a non bride like ME..
I blame the Bridal Industry and it's 700 page magazines which create unrealistic expectations of what a wedding "Should Be". Of course because they are unrealistic the disappointment manifests itself as anger and resentment and you have the horror that is Bridezilla.
Peggy and I have this theory. The cost and elaboration of a wedding is inversely proportional to the capacity of the marriage to last. It's not scientific of course but observational.
I can't watch the train wreck anymore. My very guilty pleasure is on A&E. Confessions of a Matchmaker. I am astounded by the simple lack of simple skills in meeting, being friendly and taking it to the next level. in love. She, the matchmaker, is crude and non Christian at any level and frankly I disagree with her on some things, but I find what she instructs her clients with to be pretty good. On her website is Patti's tips. Decent advice.
It's like watching Poker, you know the right things to do because you know the whole card. BUT, it's hard to watch those twh trains run into each other.

You too much TV.

Ah, you're kidding, deniro. I watch the Saturday SciFi, Psych (on USA network) and that's really about it anymore.
How can I stop watching the train wreck that is Bridezilla now that I know it exists?

Karate Kid reference.

The only Karate Kid reference I'm able to make involves wax.
It just isn't part of my "quotable movies" repertoire.
