Prairie Princess: A Jaunt.

::Yes, I did make a T-shirt out of the Prairie Princess character. I also embroidered it. I can't seem to stop myself.::
After a morning of spending four hours as the culmination of about five total days of getting my entire MP3 collection properly categorized and labeled as I would label each song's genre, my RCA Lyra pulled the dreaded "file system corrupt" which, if I wanted to, I could ding around and reformat it using Linux except I really couldn't because I don't know anything about Linux so then I called a tech support number that I found buried in some random Google search page cache to get a woman not with RCA but with some podunk company called Thomson Inc. with very broken English trying to tell me to reset the device which I already had tried along with a couple of my own reformat efforts as well as holding down the joystick control while attaching the USB cord in an effort to access the Lyra as a blank storage unit but for some reason the tech woman wouldn't listen and in the end the only solution to the problem is for me to pack it all up and send it to Texas so I guess that's it for me bringing my MP3 player down to Nicaragua.
::Longest sentence for me. Ever.::
Cheap MP3 player? Yep. Except it didn't actually cost "cheap."
My bags are finally packed, though, once I got past the MP3 upset. It only took me an hour of mindless rearranging of things on my bookshelf to quiet my mind and find a way back to my schedule and overcome that minor glitch in my well-oiled plan. Well, that and the treadmill.
Carry-on packed.
Candy canes packed.
Camera packed.
Sunblock packed to the nth degree.
This is "Prairie Princess" telling you she'll be back in about three weeks, unless she battles her way to an internet connection down at the Southern Command. Comments will be amazingly slow at appearing once I leave the Arctic Northern Command tomorrow morning with the Head Commander (dad), who will take us to Fargo.

I am so sorry about the MP3 player, I would have let you use mine if this would NOT have happened at the last minute! As you know, I will be SOOO relieved when you are back and I can see the whites of your eyes! LOVE YOU!
