Figures.
written by Julie R. Neidlinger 12 comments link this postFigures. I am a member of the 64 percent club so what should I have expected? Well, whatever. I guess there's got to be D's so there can be A's.
Hooray.
Begrudging and not-so-happy hat tip: Say Anything.
UPDATE: As Rob pointed out in the comments below, I am now a C-lister. Whew!

Well, you're in good company. I'm a D-list blogger, and so are Charles G. Hill, Michelle Malkin, and Glenn Reynolds.
(In other words, there's something seriously messed up with their algorithm.)

Whew.
Of course, if I'd bothered to do my homework and try other blogs for ratings, I'd have found that out...
...but that's where that 64% comes in. Thanks for the reassurance.
New addition to list of things that irritate: dumb algorithms.

Actually, the ranking site was down for a while because so many people have linked to it. It was giving everybody D's for a while.
Instapundit, Malkin, etc. are all back to A-listers.
Julie is still at a D...when you run one of her URL's. You've got sort of a funk setup, Julie, but when I run this url: http://www.kineda.com/bloglebrity.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.loneprairie.net%2Flp_blog%2Fblog.htm
I get that you're totally C-list.

Well, gee, Rob, go and steal my little bit of consolation!
Ah, well, I get hits and readers but not a lot of links and I'm assuming that's the ticket. Which is fine. Can't worry about the links.
(Although I will continue to refer to you as "the" North Dakota blogger, even more so now. Heh.)

I believe ranking blogs by grade is dumb.
I believe that anyone with any sense knows that your blog(s) is(are) terrific.
I believe that anyone who doesn't agree with me about this (and just about anything else, for that matter) is a complete nincompoop. Did I spell that right?
I believe I'm commenting in the wrong style for this post.
I believe I'll go to bed now so I can get up early and start casing more mail.

I believe the children are our future.
I believe I also agree with Jim.
And yes, I believe this is the wrong comment format for this post, though not others.

Julie, any attempt to "rank" your site will fall woefully short. Links, hits, comments, etc, don't stand up against your unique perspective and curiously mesmerizing writing.
Seriously.
But on the other hand, all of the A-listing and B-listing and such is pure silliness for "inside baseball" nuts (like me!).

My gosh.
I'm starting to feel pretty good despite the crappy rating.
By Julie, at 16/11/06 22:10
I'm actually not as conceited as my post indicates. The blog grading thing was more just a fun thing, and I had to poke a little fun at the two other bloggers I linked to because they had made a big deal in the past about my traffic being "made up" because I get a lot of search engine hits or something.
As though I can control that.
Anyway, it's just a fun thing. Some of the best blogs out there are the small ones, in my opinion.

Part of what bothers me the most is the irritating girly-pink graphic.
As if there should be happy stars around a D rating.
By Julie, at 16/11/06 23:40
Yah, the pink starry style is a little too..."sweet" perhaps? But still.

hello, I've enjoyed reading your blog... have a great Sunday
p.s. I haven't figures out yet how to get my blog graded, but I'm guessing it's at the low end of the bell curve - I just started blogging this past week (I'm addicted).
