Which reminds me, Did you catch Gary Sinise as he hosted Memorial Day celebrations? I don't know which channel he was on but it looked kind of PBS ish..

So, Julie, care to share your criteria? ;-)
By Eric, at 30/5/06 17:51
Ha, Eric.
I should think it obvious.
By Julie, at 30/5/06 19:00
Oh, that. I was looking for something more, um, contemplative. ;-)
By Eric, at 30/5/06 22:39
It is contemplative:
They all seem intelligent, either in the roles they played or just how they seem.
No man-bimbos here.
And of course, for the most part they're quite good-looking and, ahem, mature.

Let’s start at the top.
Ioan Gruffudd. To which everyone said, “Who?”
Hugh Jackman. Do they make a bad Aussie? The deeper the voice, the better.
Gary Sinise. The older guys have their charm, but really? I can’t get him out my head as the evil kidnapper in Ransom.
Live Schreiber. Sometimes you wonder if you’re the only girl with the crush.
Tom Berenger. This is worse than Gary Sinise.
Viggo Mortenson. All women everywhere are agreed.
Ralph Fiennes. A little outdated, but perennially overlooked. Hard not to like.
Colin Firth. See entry for Viggo Mortenson.
Clive Owen. A new face. I haven’t made up my mind about him yet, but after King Arther I started paying attention.
Nathan Fillion. Yeah, he flies a cool ship, but he also poked Xander’s eye out.

Well, gee, GF, tell me what you really think.
1. Everyone was a "who?" at some point. Look at him. Smokin'.
2. Yes, they do make a bad Aussie. They just don't put them on screen.
3. Ransom was just a movie. Sinise is smokin'. Squinty eyes, gravelly voice. Oh yeah.
4. Yes, Liev is live. And that's why I like him. In one movie, he hits Ben Affleck. That's enough for me.
5. Tom Berenger is smokin'. What's wrong with you?
6. Agreed, an easy pop fly to left field.
7. Been crushin' on Ralph since college. His voice is like honey on sandpaper. Smokin'.
8. Agreed, a line drive to center field.
9. Check him out in Gosford Park and you'll be convinced. That's where I first noticed him. Smokin'.
10. Yes, well, Xander was a big dork. You'd think he'd learned to kick after all those years around Buffy. Besides, Fillion is...you got it. Smokin'.
No, I don't know what's with the baseball analogies. But speaking of baseball, Berenger was in a baseball comedy. And you gotta love baseball movies.
Smokin' is a reference to the appearance of their forearms which, along with sound of voice, is what I really look for when I allow myself to be shallow. Tall, dark and handsome, with forearms!
It's not sometimes that I wonder about being the only girl with the crush; it's always.
Thank you for pointing out the inadequacies of my list.

Neither of us mince words well.
That said, my "sometimes you wonder if you're the only girl with a crush" comment meant that I thought I was the only Liev fan in the galaxy. I see we share our good taste.
I'll look into Tom Berenger.
Gosford Park. I'd forgotten Owen was in that. And isn't he Scottish? His rating improves by the milisecond.
Don't pick on Xander.
PS: Here's to great arms.

GF, you're a Liev fan too, eh? That is good taste. He's quite underrated.
We are seperately alone no more in our good taste.
To great arms it is. There'll be no farewell to arms on this blog.
(By the way, you don't have to look into Berenger...just look at him. That'll do the trick.)
