::The first in a series of ten posts on ten things for ten things. Boring? For you, quite possibly. Thanks to Tom for sending me a link to a good article, which got me to thinking about a list of 100 of my own. Feel free to add your own to these lists.::

[I messed up the link in the previous comment -- trying again.]

Good list!

I've done 5 (4th of July concert on the Esplanade, 1985, and at Symphony Hall in 1996), 6 (a couple of trips to Washington in high school), 7 (business trips to England in '89 and '99; a vacation in Scotland and Ulster in '94, and a return trip to Ulster the following year; we stayed in a 400 year old farmhouse B&B and a 500-year old castle east of Glasgow).

Would a dead language count for number 9? I took eight years of Latin, but I don't speak a living foreign language.

If I were to make such a list, it would include learning to play an instrument -- maybe fiddle or steel guitar.

When you're ready to go to the Auld Country, let me know.

I know people.

GirlFriday, I'm going to take you up on that someday. I'm almost through with my student loan, a big step towards moving on and freeing up finances.

My great-grandfather came from Ireland and I'm dead serious about going there. The people you know may regret your offer, however.
