LATEST NEWS

I have some new limited items available at Lone Prairie just in time for Christmas. Check out these new items, in all price ranges, and see if you can't find something you like. As always, each order has a little something "extra" thrown in as a surprise!

LONE PRAIRIE SCHOOL AND LIBRARY

Two new blogs at Lone Prairie.

The survey from the last newsletter -- a survey on possibly offering online classes at Lone Prairie -- proved useful as well as surprising. I decided to add a brand new section to the web site which would contain lots of art, craft and writing lessons, tips, ideas and free downloads. Be sure to check out the Lone Prairie School.

For you fellow avid readers out there, I made the decision to shift all of my book reviews and book-related posts to the Lone Prairie Library.

As always, I welcome your feedback and input on these blogs. Each post has a comments section where you are encouraged to leave your thoughts. Let me know what you think!

CHRISTMAS CARDS

Some of you may remember my offer last year, my offer to send out my "Christmas letter" to anyone who requested it. It was a letter with a slightly different tone than the usual mailings that go out this time of year.

This year I've calmed down a bit and have even contemplated resurrecting my old Christmas tradition of making my Christmas cards. Previously (at least for three years), I went out of my way to out-do myself. One year I made over fifty pop-up cards. Another year involved an elaborate vellum concoction. The year before that was a golden linoleum print. I have no illusions this year, and I also have nothing started. I'm still in the vague idea stage. However, and here's the kicker: if I get my cards made, and you want one, email me your address and I'll send you a genuine-made-by-hand-original-art Lone Prairie Christmas card. I promise I'll not abuse nor publish your address. I won't add you to any list. The card won't cost a thing. Just send your address and if I get my act together, I'll send one to you at no charge. Just my way of saying "thanks" for visiting my site.

I will be announcing this on my blog later, but my newsletter subscribers will get first crack at what will be a limited list. Get your name in early. If the cards go out, you'll get one.

TAKE ADVANTAGE

This is the time of year some of you may be thinking of what gifts to make for Christmas. I just want to remind you to take advantage of me! There are a number of free project ideas just waiting to be downloaded, many of which would make fun little gifts. A bit of a re-run to point this page out, but there's no harm in reminding you of free stuff!
