Join Julie in ‘Blogathon’ to benefit AARC
BISMARCK, ND - A woman from Hampden, ND, Julie Neidlinger, is participating in the 6th annual International Blogathon July 29 with the Abused Adult Resource Center (AARC) as the benefiting nonprofit.
She is joining hundreds of bloggers from around the world who will put their endurance to the test for charity, blogging every 30 minutes for 24 hours straight. This is an event that creates a worldwide community for a day, serves up fascinating content and, most importantly, raises tens of thousands of dollars for dozens of charities. Bloggers choose the charity and collect sponsorships. At the end of the event, those sponsors fulfill their pledges directly with the charity.
Julie has chosen AARC as the nonprofit that will benefit from her blogging site. However, she needs additional sponsors to ensure she meets the event guidelines and raises more for AARC. To learn more about the Blogathon, go to this website: www.blogathon.org. You can join in Julie's blogging and/or help in her sponsorships by going to her website: http://www.loneprairie.net/. AARC’s website is at www.abusedadultresourcecenter.com.
"The Blogathon is a wonderful illustration of the power of the pen," says Julie. "Or, in this case, the power of the typed word. I love having the opportunity to raise money for a good cause doing something I love, and the Blogathon gives me a chance to do that."
Diane Zainhofsky, AARC executive director, said she is grateful for Julie’s efforts. "Whatever is raised through her efforts will help survivors of abuse, so we encourage anyone interested to visit her website and participate."
The AARC is a nonprofit organization that serves survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and families in a seven-county area in south-central North Dakota.
