Never an excuse for boring writing.

Even in the serious world of legal writing and judicial opinions, there is never an excuse for boring, bland, or pretentious writing.

A great example of witty writing where you'd least expect can be found here.

It would be great if everyone who ever had cause in their job to pick up pen and write, and had the freedom to write creatively, lively or humorously without threat of being fired, did.

If there was ever something nearly every person needs to learn to do, it is to write and write well. Those that can are in short supply, it sometimes seems.

I need to remember my own advice when I am tempted to write with a lazy pen.
