Writers' Weekly: Another short story contest!

I've decided to enter the upcoming 24-hour Writers' Weekly short story contest. The contest will be held this Saturday (which is also the next time the Lake Region Writers' Group meets).

Entrants pay $5, and then wait to see what the topic and word count of the contest will be. They have 24 hours to finish their story. There's the chance for prizes, some monetary in the region of $300 and under. I don't mind paying $5. I'll spend more than that at the coffee shop earlier in the day for our own writers' group meeting. It's all relative.

If any of you sign up for the challenge, let me know in the comments section below. I'd love to see how many we can get to do this.

I would love to do it, but I'll be tied up Saturday afternoon and evening with a wedding in Kansas City. Maybe next year. Good luck to those of you who try it.
