You can't win if you don't try.
written by Julie R. Neidlinger 0 comments link this postI'm putting the final touches on my Bush Foundation Artist Fellowship grant application. I've made and labeled my slides, lined up references, and am in the process of fine-tuning the writing that goes on the grant application. Less is more, and I want not only my proposed project to be well-written, but also the listing of qualifications, resume, and other necessary information.
This grant is such a prestigious thing that I must confess to doubting I'll be picked out of the thousands of well-qualified artists that apply. But I do know one thing, one thing that keeps me working on the application and will drive me right to the post office to mail it off: I can't win if I don't try.
I don't know if I'll be selected to receive this grant, but I do know that if I don't even turn in the application I for sure won't be selected.
Cross my fingers, and here goes. It'd be an amazing opportunity. We'll see what happens.
