A different kind of portrait.

I'm in the midst of working on a portrait of a different kind. It's a comissioned "portrait" of a logo, and I'm having a lot of fun reworking the business logo into a full-scale acrylic painting.

So far I'm in the sketching phase, but I have in mind to experiment paints that incorporate some luminescent qualities as well as trying to bring together historic depictions of ships with modern day ships.

Ships?

I'm working on a lighthouse scene, and I couldn't have asked for a better challenge because working with blues and greens and the organic quality of water when depicted with paint are just a "few of my favorite things."

I'll post a photo of the end result to let you know what I came up with.
