Uneducated
More like Senryu,
These will anger serious
Haiku defenders.
The Literalist
Five five five five five
Seven seven seven…uh…
I’ll need assistance.
Sucker
I walked four blocks south
to get my own subpoena
to save them a trip.
Futility
Less sugar is best
For health and longevity
So I make cupcakes.
Got Away
Clif was all handsome,
played piano easily,
and left like that, too.
Dark
Even in the sun
I find too many shadows
and choose to live there.
Driving
Flexibility
is vital as I grow old.
Middle finger up.
Tragedy
Far beneath the soft
mid-section lies the unused
six-pack abs. More cake.

wayfaring stranger
always I look for
the dark cloud that lies behind
a silver lining
a single snowflake falls
pure, beautiful and unique
billions mean backaches
Please make me stop this
Haikus have overcome me
I cannot quit them

I fear I am in a wheel
turning, it never ends
comments you wanted
well, comments you have in spades
sorry they’re all mine
I promise I will stop
just one more haiku and I
am finished for good
I lied earlier
where is the comment feed, huh?
must I come back here?
everyone love haikus
an indisputable truth
maybe, maybe not
Sounds from violin,
Traveling, touching, spirit,
This leaves comment “ten.”
Wow, Will. Self-control
Is the epitome of
Such poems. And for you?
Nice Mission Oak couch
Can survive Armageddon
Hey, couch, meet my son
Missus on the phone
Emergency brake stuck on
Tally up the cost
Dad hangs his head and sighs

Sales tax included

self-control for moi?
not likely if you know me
I’m out of control.
Will:
Shouldn’t you be all
wrapped up in grand sermon prep
for your eager flock?
Sermon was finished
I had nothing else to do
So I came back here.
Turning into a
placeholder post from
the old blog, it seems.
I love your several of your Haiku, particularly “The Literalist” and “Futility.” Both show truth, using great light-hearted humor. While “Tragedy” is similar to “Futility,” it too is wonderful.
