  • 1/2 tsp instant coffee (optional)

Put chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of milk in a bowl. Melt together in saucepan or microwave. Stir until wll mixed.

Add cinnamon and instant coffee, and mix well. Heat in microwave for half a minute, or keep on low heat in saucepan. Add 1/2 cup of cold milk. Stir. Pour in cup. Gain five pounds.

You know, the more I think of this quick tasty recipe I wonder if using a chocolate syrup (I’m thinking a thick chocolate from a pump dispenser bottle) could be used in lieu of the chips? Reason I wonder is a friend of mine swears by a certain coffee chain’s hot chocolate. She says the secret is in the syrup they use. Your recipe is pretty simple and sounds delicious. I wonder also if I could whip up more than one batch and keep the rest in the refrigerator for later use? All we need now is a few cinnamon biscotti for dunking!
