According to the comments that follow this news story, more ballots have been found that Al Franken may be interested in.
Several ballots with a pro-Franken vote, according to one commenter, were found in the bottom of his bird cage this morning. This is truly amazing, and an excellent example of “one voter — one vote” democracy (at work in a republic) at its best.
Whats needed is a “Where’s Waldo” type book with ballots hidden in the various images.
There were several close races in North Dakota*, though none quite as high in the hierarchy as the Comedian vs. The Incumbent Senate race in Minnesota. However, even these “lesser” politicians could handle a close race with a little more class.
One thing I’ve noticed in life is that if I go looking, I end up finding. So, injecting myself into this scenario, if I go looking for any “possible” missed votes, I “find”‘ possible missed votes. The more I look, the more I find! Time is on my side! It’s magic!
Missed out on the count? Suck it up, take it like a man, and try again next time, Franken. (Sore losers don’t impress voters, however.)
For those of you that would like a chance to take part in this civic exercise of embarrassment and futility, you can get “discover” your own unofficial ballots here. This PDF file contains three ballots:
- A blank ballot for you to fill in.
- A properly pre-filled ballot
- A pre-filled ballot that will make officials question its validity.
Have fun.

* Jasper Schneider running for Insurance Commissioner, and Rep. Chuck Damschen, a friend of my family, are just two examples.
